The laboratory fulfils its statutory food control responsibilities by means of coordinated regional Food Surveillance Programmes agreed between the laboratories, the Environmental Health Officers (EHOs) and the FSAI. These include:
Chemical Analysis of Programmed Food Testing for the HSE Dublin Mid-Leinster and the HSE Dublin North East.
Microbiological examination of Programmed Food Testing for the HSE Dublin Mid-Leinster and the HSE Dublin North East.
EU Co-Ordinated Programmes.
Sampling for the programmed testing is conducted by the Environmental Health Officers (EHOs).
The laboratory also provides the analytical service for food complaints and the Food Export Certification requirements.
